Our Treatments

Most of the treatments we use at Physiofocus are ‘hands-on’ manual therapy techniques. This incorporates joint mobilisations and soft tissue therapy. We have electrotherapy modalities which we use in conjunction with these manual therapy techniques. We have physiotherapists who also specialise in Acupuncture.

What to expect on your visit:

Physiotherapy – All treatment rooms are private and your physiotherapist will spend the full appointment time with you. Initial appointment will last up to one hour. A full history of your current condition will be taken, any past medical history and medication  and then a thorough examination will be conducted. You will most likely be asked to remove some clothes, please bring shorts if you would like but we have some you can borrow. After the examination the physiotherapist will explain the findings and discuss a plan of treatment and look at goals, time scales and realistic outcomes. With your consent treatment will be given in your first session and any exercises that are advised will be explained.

Massage – massage booked within the clinic will be with a Chartered Physiotherapist. All sessions will begin with a history of your condition, recording your past medical history and medication and then an examination will be given to ensure that massage is appropriate for the condition that is being presented.

Home visits – these can be arranged on occasions if patients are unable to attend the clinic.

Parking – There is parking at the rear of the clinic, disabled parking and 2 spaces for people with poor mobility at the front or parking just along the road.
